arriving at havana airport
Most scheduled flights operate to and from Jose Marti International Airport, about 9 miles and 25 minutes drive from the centre of Havana.
Although not busy by international standards, Jose Marti is spread out over a relatively wide area. However, flights with Virgin, Air France, Iberia, Cubana & Martinair all operate out of the main International Terminal 3, the newest of the airport’s 5 terminals. Even so, getting through immigration and baggage reclaim can sometimes be a slow and frustrating experience.
Once clients leave the terminal building they will be met by a representative from our office in Havana who is on hand to help with any queries or problems that may arise. Our rep can also help arrange a taxi into Havana but the cost of the taxi is paid locally and is not included in the price of our holidays unless clients are on an organised tour.
taxis from havana airport
Taxis into Havana take approximately 25 minutes and cost the equivalent of £20. All taxis are government owned, regulated and metered.
Clients transferring on to an Escorted Tour or travelling to Varadero, Jibacoa, Las Terrazas, Soroa or Vinales will be directed to their transfer vehicle by one of our reps.
arriving at Holguin airport in eastern cuba
Clients travelling on Cubana’s weekly service also have the opportunity to disembark at Holguin airport, in the east of the island. Our local rep will be on hand to direct clients to their onward transfer to Guardalavaca or Santiago.
