Opened in 1999 the Parque Central still offers the most reliable, luxury accommodation available in Old Havana and is one of only 3 hotels in this part of the city to feature a swimming pool. Built around the corner façade of an older building the Parque Central is a modern hotel that has managed to blend into its surroundings. Although it lacks the character of the heritage style hotels, for overall standards of accommodation, facilities and service this is still undoubtedly the best hotel in Old Havana. A recent new extension to the hotel known as the Tower or Torre has added more rooms and a second pool.
