The island of Cayo Ensenachos forms part of Cayo de la Herradura chain and is linked to the mainland by a scenic causeway. There is just the single hotel on the island, the 5* Iberostar Ensenachos (previously known as the Royal Hideaway) which, as well as being one of the most luxurious hotels in Cuba, also has perhaps the best beach.

Excursions

Cayo Ensenachos is dominated by its single hotel and most visitors have come to relax. However, there is a small marina on neighbouring Cayo Las Brujas from which a variety of more active watersports can be enjoyed.

Food

The only place to eat on Cayo Ensenachos is the hotel Iberostar Ensenachos which, operating on an All Inclusive basis, is closed to non-residents.

Getting There

There are daily flights from neighbouring Cayo Las Brujas to Havana while private road transfers can also be arranged to and from Remedios, Santa Clara, Sancti Spiritus, Trinidad, Cienfuegos and even Havana. It is possible to drop hire cars on Cayo Ensenachos although steep charges are levied.

There is just the single hotel on the island, the 5* Iberostar Ensenachos (previously the Royal Hideaway hotel). There are more All Inclusive options on neighbouring Cayo Santa Maria as well as the simple Villa Villa Las Brujas on neighbouring Cayo Las Brujas.
